SUMMARY:Metal Exchange I
DESCRIPTION:Keller (Thrash Metal – Slovenia) It’s not easy surviving as a Thrash Metal band in Slovenia\, but through sheer hard work\, solid live shows and strong underground reviews\, Keller managed to generate enough of a buzz to catch the ears of Canadian label NHR Records who signed Keller to a multi-record deal in 2009. Their debut album Spreading Evil was recorded in a matter of weeks and released worldwide in late 2010 to very positive reviews. Keller’s brand of crude\, back-to-the-roots thrash is sure to appeal to fans of tried-and-true old-school Thrash Metal à la Exodus and Nuclear Assault – like straight out of ’87.spreading evilSchattenlicht (AT) Schattenlicht have been founded by Irrlicht (former Bands Hoffnungstod and Schabbock) in early 2008 as a one-man project\, so he could realise his very own idea of Black Metal. A little later\, the lineup got completed by Morbus Juls (Mb. Crohn\, also formerly Schabbock) on drums. July 2011 the debut EP “Erinnerung” was released via Seelengreif Klangwelten.ErinnerungHorns of Hattin (AT) Horns of Hattin is a Vienna\, Austria-based Extreme Metal band formed in Fall 2007 by former members of Vargsriket\, Final Aphorism\, Cryosphere\, Avathar and Seeds of Sorrow. The band takes its name from the Battle of Hattin\, one of bloodiest episodes to occur during the Crusades in the area between present-day Jerusalem and Damascus. Horns of Hattin’s music focuses a great deal on history and its relevance to the present. The band recounts tales of ancient mysteries\, secret societies\, and the events of the Crusades\, providing an introspective glance into the present and future. Horns of Hattin also explore various themes related to man and his religious ideas\, as well as mankind’s religious and dualistic nature – the personal quest for enlightenment\, self-mastery and quest for control. The band’s unofficial motto: There is no religion higher than truth. Musically\, Horns of Hattin combine Epic Metal\, symphonic Black Metal\, classic Heavy Metal and Death Metal influences. They played support gigs with international bands such as Mayhem\, Enslaved\, Dornenreich\, Shining\, Wolves in the Throneroom\, Minas Morgul and Asmodeus. The first full release\, De Veritate\, was released 21 May 2011. De Veritate features nine tracks and was mixed and mastered by Andy LaRocque (King Diamond\, Death) at Sonic Train Studios in Sweden.De VeritateEmpyre (AT) EMPYRE has been founded on September 9th 1999 by Eugen M. Pagany (git)\, Panzer (dr) and Andreas “Oct@gor3” Holzer (vox)\, creating their ‘own’ type of Death/Black Metal in the vein of Swedish as well as Norwegian grandeurs. After one year the band was able to look back to a dozen of songs of which six found their place on the first demo released in January 2001. After several lineup changes\, in September 2009 EMPYRE did the “Alpha Vs. Omega”-CD-release-party to finally take their fixed place among the Austrian Metal crowd\, just to struggle again with their drummer leaving the band. Finally\, in 2011 the lineup has been stabilized with some more fresh blood and is now going to reboot into the New Age of 2012 with full force.
